Orgulloso
Orgulloso has been tested as homozygous for the agouti gene, which guarantees 100% of his foals from bay mares will be buckskin and 100% from chestnut mares will be palomino. He will never throw a smokey black. He can also produce double dilutes from mares which have a copy of the cream gene. He has a wonderful disposition and a truly stunning presence.
Due to the fact that he is not yet graded (later this year) he is available at £350 to a limited number of proven mares.
His captivating presence and conformation will suit a range of mares, and of course you get all of this in a fabulous colour!
Orgulloso has had 100% of his mares scanned in foal.
Currently he is covering our sport horse mares, we think the results will be spectacularly beautiful horses, with good conformation and movements, finished with stunning colours!

Saphiro (Umbaba x Epoca)
1999 APSL Approved Cremello Lusitano Stallion. Solid build with substantial bone and excellent type. Saphiro has a huge overstep at the walk, strong topline, lofty movement and a rocking canter that is a dream to ride. His profile is classically baroque and his temperament, of course, exceptional!
Saphiro was the IALHA National Champion Portuguese Jr Stallion and was undefeated at the breed shows in 2009, including winning the ERAHC Classic Sr Stallion class (and recipient of the gold medal movement award) then going on to win Champion stallion of the show! Now showing in dressage, Saphiro has an incredible work ethic. He can turn on his brio when asked, or be ridden quietly bareback by children. Saphiro is an exceptional stallion by anyone's standards
Saphiro is Agouti dominant color tested cremello (eeAACrCr with no grey) so his cream gene will be expressed on his foals (cannot throw smokey black). His buckskin, palomino, and double dilute offspring have more to show for themselves than just their golden coats. They are excelling in all disciplines including Dressage, jumping and working cows!
This is Saphiro's first time being offered at stud outside of the USA. Imported from Germany as a foal, he has proven himself a prepotent sire here in the States. He passes on his characteristics to his foals and has an incredible first cycle conception rate (unheard of 100% first cycle conception rate with frozen semen in 2009 domestically) so his semen has been proven and is ready to be taken on the road.
Frozen semen will be available for distribution in the UK in time for the 2010 breeding season at Stallion AI Services Ltd in Whitchurch Shropshire (please do not contact Stallion AI Services with breeding inquiries). We are covering all the expenses and export paperwork to get the semen to the UK saving mare owners the hassle and expense of confusing and costly import. This charming and superb example of a Lusitano has many qualities. He has a good work ethic and is easy to ride and train, being amenable to everything that is asked of him.
As a four year old he received a gold medal in France. He was the supreme champion in 2005 and vice-champion in 2006 at the International show in Lisbon. He is highly recommended by the APSL .He was bred by Katherine Vaisse and comes from well established highly successful blood lines.
