The Lusitano Breed Society of Great Britain (Est 1984) Limited is the society for the promotion and support of the Lusitano horse in the UK.

 The Society is affiliated to the Associaçao Portuguesa de Criadores do Cavalo Puro Sangue Lusitano (the "APSL") - the central body for registering and promoting the Lusitano horse, which is based in Portugal.  

 

 

 

 

 

On this Site, you can find out more about the Lusitano horse, find information on events where you can see Lusitanos in action (or bring your own!), look for stallions standing at stud, catch up with the latest news and more!

 

You can add events, links and classifieds straight onto the site.  If you would like to publish your news and any results, or post pictures of your horse in the Gallery please e-mail the Web Site co-ordinator.

Annual Breed Show 

 

This year's Breed Show will be held on 28 and 29 August at Hartpury, Gloucestershire

!!!!!!!!!!Attention Road Closure!!!!!!!!!!

 

 The A417 from Maisemore to Hartpury is going to be closed on Friday night from 8pm to 6am,

People are coming from M50 direction will not be affected - coming from Gloucester way it will be necessary to follow the lane round or follow the yellow diversion signs 

 

 

There will also be an evening  of Working Equitation on Friday 27th August 6pm-9pm

 

An entertaining evening of working equitation competition (dressage, obstacles and speed) and demonstrations to highlight the functional role of the Lusitano horse. Organised by Working Equitation UK and featuring GB team members, guest Portuguese riders and lots of other Lusitano owners
